MISSION STATEMENT
To promote personal and social development, team spirit and physical well-being amongst members, and to promote the participation of individuals and teams in Calisthenics competition at all levels.
CLUB PROFILE
Welcome to the Northern Districts Calisthenics Club (NDCC). NDCC was formed in 1978 and celebrated it's 30th Birthday in 2008.
Our participating members have been successful in winning a number of age group aggregates at the annual State competitions, with numerous successes in solo competitions.
Team members are taught a selection of routines from the following categories:
Marching, Exercises, Club Swinging, Rod Exercises, Song and Dance, Gymnastics Display, Aesthetic Dance, Rhythmic Dance, Modern Dance and Folk Dance. Each year the South Australian Calisthenics Association (CASA) stipulates which categories are to be allocated to each age group. The routines are then choreographed by our coaches and taught to our participating members in preparation for competitions.
CASA competitions take place twice yearly, in May and after our Mid-Year Concert. Our End of Year concert, Presentation Day and AGM finish off the year. All in all we aim to create an enjoyable recreational activity for our members, within a very competitive sporting framework.
Your commitment, once enrolled, is the key to our success with the ultimate enjoyment coming from the extent of achievement - whether that be the individual progress a child makes, or the combined success of a team or the club as a whole.
If you have any questions, please speak to your team coordinator, or contact a committee member.
Above all, we extend a warm welcome to you and trust you will enjoy your association with the Northern Districts Calisthenics Club.
